  1. It seems like my family, at least my parents, are totally against me. I used to hang out with my youth group all the time but then a year ago one of our friends moved away and everything changed. New people moved in and now I don't hang out with them anymore. They are still good people and we are friends but we don't connect anymore like before. Now I have new friends and my parents can't accept that I don't connect with the old group anymore. They see it as negative, that I'm falling away from people of my same faith and values, and that I'm not trying to be their(the old group) friend but that's not it at all. My parents won't stop putting me down about it. I don't know what to do to make them see it my way.

  2. i can relate to you beacuse the same thing happen to me i had a group of friends that i use to hang out with then one moved to texas the other to NC and Tenn. nd my new friends were what my parents wanted for me... i dont kno how your parents are like but one day i sat down with my parents and i told them what i felt and how i felt on the fact they werent expectin my new friends...but the key to talkin to parents is never raise your voice to them or u'll lose the conversation right of the bat and just stay clam and repectful...you do this and tell them how u feel and it mite just open there eyes.
